NSF Certification

- Overview
What is the Supplement Label Certification Program?
There's nothing else like it in the world of sports, and MRI is once again on the cutting edge of sports nutrition.
The Label Certification Program has a two-fold purpose.
- First, the Program's rigorous testing and certification process ensures that approved products-those bearing the Label Certification Program logo-fully comply with the MLB's banned substances requirements.
- Second, the products have also been independently tested to verify that they contain only those ingredients that are presented on the label, in the precise quantities that are presented on the label.
NSF Sport
For years, MRI has been recognized as the leading innovator in sports nutrition, and the company most committed to clinical testing. The NSF Sport certification program allows MRI to formally present, on the label, its commitment to safety and quality. In addition, the NSF Sport Certification program gives professional athletes access to the best products on the market - worry free.
In conjunction with NSF International, the supplement testing organization used by professional sports associations, MRI is the sole provider of select products to the players of professional baseball and teams will start selling approved supplements to players in an effort to prevent positive drug tests.
NSF International has entered into an agreement with MLB that provides select MRI products for teams and players. Once a supplement is certified, teams will buy the products and make them available to players in the 30 major-league clubhouses.
In addition to requiring NSF Certification to dietary supplements or functional foods criteria, the program requires each product lot to undergo analytical testing to ensure the absence of any banned substances.
